The Penn Medicine Leadership Forum (PMLF) is a unique learning environment where cross-discipline, multi-level work teams are presented with an organizational challenge. Over the course of about three months, these teams receive experiential didactic training on relevant leadership topics. Their knowledge is then applied to action learning projects designed to address the organizational business challenge.
A component of the PMLF is the Performance Improvement in Action (PIIA). In this particular experience, groups are challenged to focus on continuous improvement in order to create the ideal patient experience.
