COVID-19 Related Changes to Lab Service

Updated April 1, 2020

The Laboratory Patient Service Centers are only seeing patients requiring urgent laboratory testing. If you have routine or non-urgent orders from your provider that can be safely delayed, we ask that you postpone that laboratory testing until after May 1st.

Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, Penn Medicine is providing – and will continue to provide – exceptional care to all of our patients. In an effort to protect our patients and staff, and to prioritize the needs of those who may require immediate care, we have decided to make some changes to new and upcoming lab services over the next several weeks. We believe that taking this step is in the best interest of all and will allow us to focus on our most critically ill patients, take precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and ensure we have sufficient equipment and supplies during this difficult time.

Updated hours and closures are also available for Chester County Hospital, Lancaster General Health and Princeton Heath lab locations.
