The University of Pennsylvania will build a $1.5 billion new hospital on Penn Medicine's West Philadelphia campus to deliver the best care the 21st century can offer patients. "The Pavilion" - slated to open in 2021 - will have 500 private patient rooms, 47 operating rooms and 1.5 million square feet.
