Helping to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke were Nicole Wynne, Danielle Bosch, Ashley Wetherell, and Eric Smith.
Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women. The initiative seeks to dispel the myths surrounding cardiovascular diseases, raise awareness of heart disease and stroke as the number one killer of women, and empower women to make heart healthy choices to reduce their risk.
The event at the Perelman Center included educational information, one-on-one sessions with doctors and nurses, free blood pressure screenings, basket raffles, giveaways, and heart healthy snacks.
“It was a great success!” said Eric Smith, program manager for the Inherited Cardiovascular Disease Program.
