‘Twas the week before Christmas and first responders across Central Jersey paid a surprise visit to Princeton Medical Center (PMC) to show their support for Princeton Health staff members. And they brought special guests: Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with the Grinch. The December 18 event began just before an evening shift change, with about 60 rescue vehicles circling the PMC campus. Staffers who were leaving for the day or on break made their way outside to greet the first responders and their special guests. The Clauses and the Grinch then climbed into the baskets of ladder trucks supplied by Plainsboro, Monroe, and North Brunswick fire companies so they could be raised to the elevator bay windows and share socially distanced season’s greetings with staff members inside. The event was organized by Plainsboro Fire Co. and Chief Scott Kivet, with assistance from more than a dozen fire, rescue, and law enforcement agencies from Middlesex, Mercer, and Somerset counties.
