Holiday Gift Drive
Penn Medicine Princeton Health employees are invited to participate in a holiday gift drive benefiting patients of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Community Health Center, a clinic adjacent to Princeton Medicine Center that provides primary and specialty care to thousands of uninsured or underinsured families and individuals in central New Jersey.
Employees may contribute gift cards of $5 to $25 to Walmart, Target, grocery stores or any other store of their choice. The gift cards should be placed in an envelope to the attention of Ayda Tello, administrative director of the community health center, and dropped off at the clinic during regular business hours.
For more information, contact Ayda Tello at ayda.tello@pennmedicine.upenn.edu or 609.853.7289.
Holiday Food Drive
Clinical units and other departments throughout the Penn Medicine Princeton Health system will collect non-perishable foods, personal care items, cleaning supplies, pet food and pet-related products to support area families in need.
Donation boxes will be placed at all Princeton Health locations from December 10, 2018 through January 14, 2019.
Items collected at Princeton Medical Center (PMC) will be delivered to the Plainsboro Food Pantry, which supports approximately 50 families in the township. Non-hospital locations are free to donate to Plainsboro or to choose a food pantry, feeding program or social service agency in their communities.
Princeton Health employees who wish to participate may donate non-perishable foods such as cereal, coffee, condiments, cooking oils, bottled beverages, canned goods and shelf-stable or condensed milk.
For a full list of needed groceries, as well as personal care items or cleaning supplies, visit https://www.plainsboronj.com/242/Food-Pantry.
Princeton Health traditionally ends its holiday season food drive around Martin Luther King Jr. Day to spotlight his message of giving back to one’s community.
This will be the second food drive led by Princeton Health employees this year. The first drive was held in the spring, when donations to food pantries are typically scarce.
