What inspires me about GI: the diverse clinical spectrum of disease and the ability to make a difference in patient's lives through both medical and procedural management. The GI tract also is in close interplay with other organ systems, which requires a good understanding of pathophysiology and internal medicine allowing for perpetual intellectual curiosity
My interests within GI include NAFLD, obesity medicine, and liver critical care
Hobbies: I enjoy weightlifting, cultivating houseplants, trying new recipes, and playing video games.
Why I chose Penn: I chose Penn GI because of the opportunity to become a well-rounded gastroenterologist/hepatologist through excellent training and exposure to diverse clinical pathology, supportive mentorship, and unparalleled research opportunities.
