Princeton House Behavioral Health
We deliver evidence-based therapies with sensitivity and care to adults, teens, and children. Our inpatient and outpatient programs are designed to help you find relief, build coping skills, and better manage mental health, addiction, and co-occurring disorders.
Life-changing behavioral health services
For more than 50 years, Princeton House has brought hope and healing through mental health and substance use care to people throughout central New Jersey and the surrounding areas. We’re a regional leader in behavioral health, with a compassionate staff of board-certified psychiatrists, physicians, and specialized nurses, and master’s level social workers, therapists, and addiction counselors. These empathetic experts work closely together and with you to address your medical, psychological, and emotional needs.
Our innovative programs extend beyond traditional treatment, including:
- First Responders Program: The first of its kind in New Jersey, this landmark program supports firefighters, law enforcement officers, veterans, and other first responders with care from clinicians and peers who share their experiences.
- Specialized outpatient programs: We have developed programs for adults with anxiety and mood disorders, older adults facing age-related challenges, men who have experienced trauma, and women with unique mental health and emotional needs.
- Young adult program: We help young people manage the stressors of school, career, and relationships while moving toward independence.
- Drug and alcohol rehabilitation: Our services are designed to help build healthier coping strategies and achieve lasting recovery while addressing mental health needs, as well.
We use therapies grounded in the latest science and proven to help people heal, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. For people whose depression or other conditions haven’t improved with medication, we offer electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), which can provide safe and often rapid relief. Modern ECT is gentle, effective, and provided under anesthesia.
As part of Penn Medicine Princeton Health, we are proud to hold The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval®, a recognition of our commitment to the highest standards of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in patient care.
