Mental health conditions we treat

A mental health disorder doesn’t have to control your life or your future. We help people cope with a range of mental health issues, including:

    Substance use disorders we treat

A substance use disorder is a chronic, treatable disease—not a choice. We offer medication-assisted treatment, group therapy, and peer support groups for addictions to:

    • Alcohol
    • Benzodiazepines
    • Cocaine
    • Heroin
    • Marijuana
    • Opioids
    • Prescription drugs

Types of outpatient care for adults

We offer two levels of outpatient care to meet you where you are on your recovery journey.

    Partial hospitalization program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) usually involves five days of treatment per week, for six hours each day.

For many people, partial hospitalization is a bridge between inpatient treatment and intensive outpatient treatment. Patients return home or to a recovery house each evening. We provide lunch for full-day programs. In some areas, no-cost transportation may be available.

    Intensive outpatient program

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) typically involves treatment for three hours a day, three days per week.

An IOP is ideal for people who have completed an inpatient or PHP program but still need more structure than traditional outpatient therapy provides. The half-day schedules of our IOP programs allow you to attend to the daily responsibilities of work, school, or family activities.

Our specialized outpatient programs for adults

Your recovery journey is as unique as you are. Our range of programs allow us to offer individualized care tailored to your needs and goals.

    Adult psychiatry program

We help people 18 years of age and older cope with the stressors of work, family, and relationships. With our guidance, you learn how to regulate your emotions and restore balance and stability to your life.

    Adult dual diagnosis treatment program

Many people with substance use disorders also have mental health conditions such as depression or post-traumatic stress disorder. Adults with a dual diagnosis receive specialized care in a dedicated program to improve their chances for long-term recovery.

    Older adult program

Our unique outpatient program helps older adults cope with age-related issues such as memory loss, grief, isolation, mood changes, and depression. Group therapy provides peer support and camaraderie.

    Men’s trauma program

Our outpatient program for men provides a safe, trust-filled environment for men who have experienced trauma that impacts their well-being and overall functioning. Participants share their experiences, learn from each other, and recover from post-traumatic stress.

    We help men:

    • Understand the relationship between trauma and psychiatric symptoms
    • Build self-esteem and self-confidence
    • Establish and maintain safety
    • Facilitate healthy ways of managing emotions
    • Learn coping and relationship-building skills
    • Recognize and address substance use as needed.

    Women’s program

Our specialized outpatient programs address the unique psychological and emotional needs of women, including:

    • Women’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps women process emotions and deal with self-harming behaviors or suicidal thoughts. A compassionate team helps you tolerate distress, regulate emotions, and interact effectively with others.
    • Women’s Trauma helps women with trauma-related symptoms such as mood swings, panic, anxiety, flashbacks, and suicidal ideation. Traumatic experiences can include psychological, sexual, physical, or verbal abuse, as well as rape or domestic violence. We also offer a specialized Women’s Trauma and Addiction program.
    • Women’s Emotion Regulation helps women who are dealing with a mood disorder, trauma, or other life stressors that make it difficult to function. We use group-focused dialectical behavior therapy to teach mindfulness, impulse control, stress management, and interpersonal skills.
    • Emotional Eating Track (EET) is designed for individuals suffering from both disordered eating patterns and mood disorders, this track helps women understand the connection between emotional dysregulation and eating behaviors while offering alternative coping strategies and healthier life skills.

    Young adult program

We understand that young adults from age 18 to mid-20s face unique stressors. Challenges such as finding employment, staying in college, or living independently can have a major impact on mental health. Our program helps young adults identify and address harmful behaviors such as self-medicating with drugs or alcohol. We work collaboratively with patients’ schools, colleges, and universities throughout treatment.
