MyChart by myPennMedicine doesn't just look different — we've made it even more convenient to
manage your health care online, from easier appointment scheduling to simpler ways to share your health information. Here’s a quick look at our new and updated features:
Easier Appointment Scheduling
Finding and scheduling appointments has never been easier. Simply filter by location and provider to find
appointment options that work for you. You can also save favorite appointments to quickly schedule again. These
enhancements are available at myPennMedicine.org and MyChart by myPennMedicine mobile app.
Earlier Appointment Check-In
You now have the option to save time at your next Penn Medicine appointment by using Pre Check-In. This is
a new feature on MyChart by myPennMedicine that lets you confirm or change your contact information, medications, allergies
and current health issues, and, if needed, sign paperwork up to four days before your visit.
More Health Records in One Place
You can now link your MyChart by myPennMedicine account to your myChart account at other health organizations, such as Jefferson Health.
This will let you see more of your health records in one place. Depending on the organization, you may be able to securely view messages, test results and upcoming
appointments.
To activate this feature login in to MyChart by myPennMedicine and select the LINK MY ACCOUNTS button at the top of your Welcome page
Enhanced Notification Preferences
Want to manage how My Chart by myPennMedicine contacts you? Now you can choose how to be contacted for different types of
MyChart by myPennMedicine notifications, such as appointment reminders, test results and messages from providers. To change
notification settings, select Settings, then click Notifications.
Convenient Health Record Sharing
Share Everywhere lets you give providers one-time, limited access to your health information on MyChart by myPennMedicine, such as medications, allergies, immunizations and other health issues. This feature also lets providers
send messages to your Penn Medicine care team.
Quicker Access to Provider Notes
MyChart by myPennMedicine offers easy access to notes written and shared by your care team during your outpatient visits.
These notes often include important information on taking medications or managing a condition.
Better Password Protection
Resetting your MyChart by myPennMedicine password now uses the extra security of two-factor authentication. This means that a
security code will be emailed to you to confirm your identity before you can change your password.
Updated Personal Information
The Contact Information page has been replaced with a Personal Information page, which lets you add important details
to your profile, including your emergency contacts, sexual orientation and gender identity. It’s part of Penn Medicine's
commitment to ensure everyone receives the best care possible. Because, the more we know you, the better we can care for you.
