About Dr. Otaño-Rivera

Dr. Otaño-Rivera was born and raised and Puerto Rico where he completed his bachelor and medical degrees. Currently he is completing his general surgery requirements to begin on the urology service. His previous research has been related to decreasing infectious rate complications after a transrectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsy in Puerto Rican patients. His current research interests are on finding novel treatments for patients with erectile dysfunction after prostatectomy. After completing his residency he would like to return to Puerto Rico and bring new technology and techniques that can impact the urological practice of the island.
