Doraid Jarrar, MD - Associate Program Director

Doraid Jarrar, MD, FACS, FCCPAt Penn, we uphold a long-standing tradition of excellence in surgical training, and we welcome your interest in our General Thoracic Training program.

We have created a robust educational environment that exposes our trainees to the full spectrum of thoracic surgery, including minimally invasive approaches, tracheal and foregut surgery. The rigor of surgical training is complemented by weekly didactics, covering the entire Thoracic Surgery curriculum as required by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. The extensive operative experience in General Thoracic Surgery will be accomplished during a total of 12 months at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and complementary cardiac rotations in our Penn-affiliated teaching hospitals, including 3 months at HUP.

We are proud of the comradery among our fellows and integrated residents as well as the incredible support provided by our Advanced Practice Providers.

At Penn, you will become a part of our legacy, and we are excited to watch you become a leader in the field.
