Mental health crisis services
In conjunction with the nonprofit Lenape Valley Foundation, a community-based behavioral-health provider, Doylestown Health’s Acute Psychiatric Services (Central Bucks Crisis) offers acute psychiatric services with the goal of providing timely intervention for those with mental illness who are experiencing emergencies. Services are available to anyone, regardless of insurance, and include evaluation, treatment if necessary, and referrals to additional community resources.
Situations that may require acute psychiatric services include, but are not limited to:
- People of any age who require an urgent mental health evaluation
- Substance abuse
- Suicidal/homicidal individual
- 302 involuntary commitment
Lenape Valley Foundation provides staff for Acute Psychiatric Services and a 988 crisis hotline available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Mobile crisis services
Lenape Valley provides Mobile Crisis Intervention Services for Bucks County residents of any age who are experiencing urgent concerns related to thoughts, behavior, mood, or relationships and need immediate support. Our mental health professionals offer on-site assessment, crisis counseling, and connections to appropriate treatment and community resources.
Services include:
- Assessment and safety evaluation
- Information and referrals to behavioral health services
- Crisis counseling, resolution, and follow-up
- Support in accessing community resources
- Coordination with emergency, psychiatric, or medical services
