Our Health Insurance Marketplace provides enrollment assistance to our uninsured patients.
According to the Affordable Care Act, all U.S. citizens must have health insurance coverage or pay a penalty. Based on household income and dependents, you may be eligible for insurance at low or no cost. Health insurance plans in the Marketplace offer comprehensive coverage, from doctors to medications to hospital visits. Some plans provide only dental benefits.
Marketplace plans are called qualified health plans (QHPs). You can compare all your insurance options based on price, benefits, quality, and other features that may be important to you, in plain language that makes sense.
If you are uninsured, our Certified Application Counselors (CAC) can assist you in understanding your medical insurance coverage options and help facilitate enrollment.

Note that in some cases, plans do not offer coverage for care provided by Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster General Health Physicians and/or Lancaster General Health Urgent Care locations. Other plans may offer tiered benefits, with higher out of pocket costs associated with some providers. All patients should consult their insurance plan resources to determine different levels of Co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and maximum out-of-pocket limits when seeking care at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster General Health Physicians and/or Lancaster General Health Urgent Care locations.
