Julian Henry, unit secretary on Silverstein 11, does not let Valentine’s Day go unnoticed on his floor. Each year, he “dresses to impress” and brings the nurses who work on Valentine's Day roses, candies and chocolates as well as little gifts. “He really brings an incredible feeling of love to the unit with his kindness, especially on that day,” said Diana Rodenbaugh, MSN, adding that he visits long-term patients on the unit as well.
COVID prevented his usual visits to co-workers who have moved on to other units as well as clinical leadership, but on Silverstein 11, hearts and flowers prevailed.
