At Penn Orthopaedics, we believe that the more prepared you and your caregivers are for surgery, the better and speedier your recovery will be.

We put together several educational videos that give an overview of the preparations needed before hip replacement or knee replacement, as well as recommendations for safe and effective recovery after surgery.

We suggest reviewing all of the videos early to get an overview of what to expect and to start planning ahead. Then, watch specific videos again as you move from preparation to surgery to post-operation. We also recommend that you share these videos with your support team. And of course, your care team can give you even more details and fill in any blanks when you meet with them.

If you have questions or need more information, please call 215-662-3340 or send us a message through myPennMedicine.
