Coronavirus Information from Penn Obstetrics

Obstetrical providers across the health system have been working from the beginning of the epidemic to make sure that we are able to continue to provide care to our patients that is personal, based on good science, and meets the high standards we have for care at Penn. We have many processes in place to make sure the birth of your child is safe and special.

Appointments and Procedures: How We're Keeping You Safe

At Penn Medicine, our highest priority is making sure you get the care you need, when you need it, in the safest way possible.

We've implemented new safety protocols for in-person appointments and procedures. We are continually evaluating patient care to improve treatment and reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

We also have answers to frequently asked questions about COVID-19, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and how you can help keep your baby safe.

At the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn obstetricians deliver more than 4,000 babies each year and offer prenatal care on the Penn campus at 3701 Market Street and at Penn Medicine Radnor. Prenatal care is also provided at the Dickens Center for Women’s Health at HUP. For more than two centuries our physicians, midwives, nurses and staff have touched the lives of thousands of families and generations of Philadelphians.

We offer the latest advances in obstetric care. Our experienced staff will answer questions about your personal needs and concerns and provide you with information about important topics such as nutrition, exercise, prenatal tests, and labor and delivery.
