For emergencies involving brain and spinal injuries, the Penn Neurotrauma Center at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) is dedicated to providing the highest level of care. As part of the Level One Trauma Center at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, we utilize a comprehensive team approach through every aspect of your or your loved ones care. This includes initial emergent operative and non-operative care of all cranial and spinal injuries.

The Penn Neurotrauma Center is fully integrated with general trauma, orthopedic, plastic surgery, ENT, and urology specialists. This allows team management of all possible traumatic injuries. We provide immediate intervention, lifesaving surgical procedures, 24/7 monitoring, a seamless transition from the ICU to our general hospital units, to an advanced rehabilitation program, and finally to outpatient follow-up.

Penn is a regional referral center for many other hospital and trauma center in the greater Philadelphia Region and a large portion of the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
