Life-saving lung cancer screening with LungWatch

Our LungWatch program helps find lung cancer early when treatment is most effective. Available at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Pennsylvania Hospital, we provide yearly lung cancer screenings with a low-dose CT scan for those who are at risk. You’re eligible if you’re between ages 50 and 80, you currently smoke or quit smoking within the past 15 years, and you have a 20 pack-year history. For example, you smoked a pack of cigarettes a day for 20 years or two packs a day for 10 years.

You also qualify for screening if you’ve had a previous test that found a lung nodule. While most lung nodules aren’t cancerous, our providers can take a closer look. The program helps speed up the process of testing and, if needed, starting care. Our LungWatch care team helps guide you through every step, coordinating with Penn Medicine specialists from interventional pulmonology, oncology, radiation oncology, and thoracic surgery.
