We treat children and adults for non-emergency issues. You must be in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, or Maryland during your OnDemand virtual visit.

When should I use Penn Medicine OnDemand?

Virtual Penn Medicine OnDemand appointments are offered to people who have urgent, non-life-threatening symptoms and:

  • Your regular primary care provider’s (PCP) office is closed
  • You can’t get to your primary care provider for an in-person visit
  • You don’t have a primary care provider
  • You’re unable to see your provider soon enough

We communicate the details of your OnDemand visit with your current provider if they’re within the Penn Medicine health system. This includes informing them of your health status and any treatments you receive, so you get seamless, coordinated care.

How much does a Penn Medicine OnDemand visit cost?

Costs for OnDemand visits may vary. You are responsible for co-pays as determined by your insurance plan.

What we can’t treat

Lancaster General Health OnDemand provides non-emergency virtual care for patients 3 and older in Pennsylvania. Lancaster General Health OnDemand providers can treat minor illnesses and injuries, such as sore throat, pink eye, urinary tract infections, rashes, and headache.

Before scheduling a visit, check with your insurance carrier to see if your plan covers Lancaster General Health OnDemand visits. You must be in Pennsylvania during your appointment.

Lancaster General Health OnDemand visits are available from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Visits conducted from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. will use MyChart by myPennMedicine.
