For Nurses and Advanced Practice
Thank you for your interest in establishing a clinical rotation for your student nurses at Penn Medicine. To ensure safe patient care and an optimal learning experience, please review the following guidelines and instructions.
The course coordinator and/or clinical instructor for your institution that is responsible for the placing of nursing students should complete the steps for the agreement. After the rotation has been established, new students interested in a nursing clinical rotation may apply for the program.
Steps for arranging a nursing student clinical rotation:
Penn Medicine requires a current institution affiliation agreement for all nursing students.
Nursing students are required to complete a Request for Student Placement form.
All nursing students meet specific requirements based on Penn Medicine policies and procedures.
All Penn Medicine students are required to attend computer training as part of the student nurse orientation program.
Penn Medicine security policy requires all nursing students have a Penn photo ID.
