Adam C. Resnick, PhD is appointed as our new Research Professor in Neurosurgery
New Research Professor

We're excited to have Adam C. Resnick, PhD as our newest Research Professor of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine! He is the Co-director of the Center of Data Driven Discovery in Biomedicine at CHOP where he holds the Alexander B. Wheeler Endowed Chair in Neurosurgery.

Casey Halpern, MD had a research paper published called "An Orexigenic Subnetwork Within The Human Hippocampus".
Published in Nature

In a new publication for Nature, the Halpern Lab used a highly novel, multimodal approach to describe an orexigenic subnetwork within the human hippocampus implicated in obesity and related eating disorders.

Pin-Chun Chen awarded Oxford Fellowship
Post-Doc Wins Prestigious Fellowship at Oxford

Congratulations to Pin-Chun Chen, PhD, who was awarded the prestigious European Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow with the Foster Lab and will head to Oxford University later this year to take up fellowship with collaborator Bernhard Staresina.

Innervace Awarded 2022 Penn PCI Deal of the Year
Congrats Innervace!

Douglas Smith, MD and D. Kacy Cullen, PhD's company Innervace was named the 2022 Penn Center for Innovation's Deal of the Year! They were able to raise $40 million for their new disease-modifying technology for Parkinson's patients.
