Preparing for your visit to the Perelman Center

Safety

Penn Medicine has processes in place to maximize the safety of all who enter our hospitals and facilities. These safety policies include limiting the number of people accompanying patients to appointments or seeing them in the hospital. Please view our current visitor guidelines.

For your safety, here are additional tips for your visit:

  • If you are taking medication that makes you lightheaded or dizzy, please ask one of our Ambassadors in red coats to assist you.
  • Wear comfortable, form-fitting shoes for your visit.
  • Do not skip meals unless you are instructed to fast.

Arrival

  • Please arrive at the Perelman Center at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This will give you time to navigate to your appointment location.
  • If driving, please arrive to the area at least 30 minutes early so you have enough time to park and walk or take the shuttle to the Perelman Center. If you are more than 30 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.
  • If at any point you get lost or need assistance, stop by our welcome desk in the lobby on the ground floor. Our Ambassadors dressed in red coats are also stationed throughout the Perelman Center and ready to help with wayfinding, wheelchair assistance and escorts, as needed.
