Dr. Shahzad is a dual board-certified physician in Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine with extensive experience in academic medicine and physician leadership. She is widely recognized for delivering excellent, patient-centered care. She previously served as Vice Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at St. Mary Medical Center, where she also worked as Core Faculty for several years, pursuing her passion for resident education and faculty development. She is deeply committed to building trusting, long-term relationships with her patients and values the privilege of caring for entire families across the lifespan. Her professional focus includes providing compassionate, high-quality care while training residents to become confident, skilled, and practice-ready physicians. Watching interns grow into capable, independent clinicians prepared to meet the real-world needs of their communities is the most rewarding aspect of her work.
