About me

Dr. Novack has an interest in treating a wide range of orthopaedic issues including sprains, strains, and fractures, cartilage issues and arthritis, as well as more complex issues involving hip and knee replacements. He focuses on preserving joints as long as possible and returning people to normal activity using a wide range of modern techniques. He earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and after completing his orthopaedic surgery residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, Dr. Novack received additional training in complex hip and knee reconstruction at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Novack has a special interest in the field of hip and knee replacement surgery, and is highly skilled in primary joint replacements as well as complex and revision hip and knee reconstruction. He also specializes in robotic-assisted partial and total knee, as well as total hip replacement surgery utilizing the direct anterior approach. Further, he has developed and used protocols for same-day outpatient and overnight-stay joint replacement surgery. He was part of the team that performed one of the first robotic-assisted total knee replacements in New Jersey.

Dr. Novack has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, has had his research displayed at numerous orthopaedic meetings, and contributed to several book chapters. Further, he has given lectures on multiple orthopaedic topics at the local, state, national, and international level. He is also an editor for several major orthopaedic journals.

Dr. Novack resides in Haddonfield, New Jersey with his wife, who is a local pediatrician, as well as their three children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, and is an avid Philadelphia and Penn State sports fan.
