Dr. Steffan W. Schulz, MD is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. He provides expert care at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine and Penn Valley Forge, specializing in autoimmune diseases in general but has a specific focus on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Dr. Schulz is also an active researcher in this area and over the years has contributed to studies on systemic lupus erythematosus and complications such as lupus nephritis, and has co-authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Schulz earned his MD from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, swimming, cooking and is an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports.
