Description of Research Expertise:
My research interests include development and application of advanced magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy methods in studying brain tumors, head and neck cancers and neurodegenerative diseases. I believe that novel imaging biomarkers would advance our understanding of pathophysiology of these diseases, facilitate their diagnosis and enable monitoring of response to established or emerging therapeutic interventions.
With a strong interest in translational research, I have been involved in implementing several advanced MR imaging techniques on clinical magnets. Some of these techniques include high resolution 3D-echoplanar spectroscopic imaging on 3T, single voxel 2D-correlation spectroscopy and quantitative susceptibility mapping on human 7T magnet, and several image processing algorithms for processing diffusion and perfusion MR imaging data.
