About me

  • Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

Dr. Azoury is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who is board-certified in general surgery, board-eligible in plastic surgery and fellowship-trained in surgical oncology and reconstructive microsurgery.  He well versed in both surgical solutions for complex cases and has a comprehensive understanding of the cancer diagnosis and treatment options. He trained at Johns Hopkins for General Surgery, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Surgical Oncology, and Plastic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He most recently completed fellowship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering.

His clinical focus is in head-to-toe reconstruction, specifically breast reconstruction and augmentation, lymphedema, and lower extremity salvage.

His research interests include outcomes in traumatic and oncologic reconstruction and he has contributed over 80 journal publications and 13 book chapters in these topics and more.
