About me

  • Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery

I am a board-certified breast surgical oncologist whose clinical practice is devoted to caring for women with breast cancer. I also treat patients with benign breast disease. I work closely with a multidisciplinary team at the cancer center to provide cutting-edge care for my patients.

Communication with my patients and their loved ones is essential to providing the best care and I understand the emotional impact of a new diagnosis of breast cancer. I believe that as a breast cancer surgeon, it is my job to educate patients about their diagnosis and treatment options and also about coping strategies to manage this challenging time in her life. This empowers women to navigate their care with confidence.  Regardless of disease stage and treatment plan, I stay involved in my patients’ care throughout treatment- up to and beyond surgery.

I was first drawn to breast surgery because it is one in which I can develop on-going meaningful relationships with my patients and this is still the aspect of my work that I am most passionate about today. I always remember that it is a unique privilege to be able to care for my patients in such an intimate way.
