Description of Research Expertise
My research interests are human resources for health and public health especially ophthalmology.
Recently I have been a member of a number of research consortia:
1. Human Resources for African Primary Health (HURAPRIM) with Oxford University (UK), Ghent University (Belgium), Medical University of Vienna (Austria), Mbara University of Science and Technology (Uganda), University of Witwatersrand (South Africa), Afhad University for Women (Sudan) and University of Botswana. I am the lead of the University of Botswana chapter.
2. Medical Education Partnership Initiative (MEPI) with University of Botswana, Universisty of Pennsylvania and Harvard School of Public Health. I am the Principal Invesitigator for the grant.
3. Collaborative African Genomics Network (CAfgen) with University of Botswana, Baylor College of Medicine, Makerere University, Baylor Uganda Children's Foundation, Botswana Baylor Children's Centre of Excellence
4. Botswana-UPenn Research Consortium of HPV-related Cervical Cancer in HIV patients with University of Pennsylvania and University of Botswana. I am the co-lead of the mentoring core.
