Description of Research Expertise:

As a Junior Faculty member at a tertiary-care, academic center, I am fortunate to practice in a rich environment for pursuing academic excellence, as well as to continue to develop my keen interest in prenatal ultrasound. My overall research goal is to develop an early screening strategy to identify patients at highest risk for experiencing an adverse pregnancy outcome. Such a tool can significantly improve the clinical care of our patients, as well as serve as the foundation for future prospective trials investigating potential therapeutics aimed and preventing such adverse outcomes. While my Department provides excellent mentorship, support and guidance for my academic efforts, securing funding for my research will allow me to work towards accomplishing my research goals and improving clinical care for pregnant women at increased risk for adverse outcomes.
