About me

  • Director, Mitral and Reconstructive Valve Surgery, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center
  • Surgical Director, Mechanical Circulatory Support, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center
  • Surgical Director, Left Ventricular Assist Device Program, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center
  • Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Presbyterian Medical Center of Philadelphia

I am a heart surgeon focused on the treatment of complex valve disease. I use advanced techniques including the Ross procedure and robotic mitral valve repair. I believe that living heart valves can cure valve diseases, unlike conventional artifical replacements made in factories which have not been shown to restore normal life expectancy. I am a caring and committed doctor who believes you should know all your options to treat your heart condition. I have special expertise in treating high risk patients and patients with very complex cardiac conditions, including patients with prior operations.
