The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions shown below from our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.

Research

Description of Research Expertise:

1.Dietary sodium intake and association with aldosterone levels on clinical outcomes: The goal of this project is to evaluate dietary sodium intake and its effects on clinical outcomes of mortality, cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease in individuals. Several different populations will be used to study this, including healthy individuals and individuals with albuminuria and CKD, both from prior cohort studies.

2. Dietary potassium and association with clinical outcomes of mortality, cardiovascular disease, and chronic kidney disease. This project is focuses on identifying the risk of low potassium intake and adverse clinical outcomes in a CKD and ESRD population.

3. Intravenous contrast toxicity: Critical review of literature pertaining to contrast induced nephrotoxicity with intravenous contrast exposure. As a corollary to this, I am involved in reviews of gadolinium associated toxicity in individuals with and without chronic kidney disease.
