About me

  • Instructor A of Medicine (Rheumatology)

Dr. Nikhil Jiwrajka, MD, is an Instructor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. He earned his MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed both his Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Jiwrajka specializes in caring for individuals with scleroderma, autoimmune interstitial lung disease (“ILD”), myositis-associated lung disease, and related autoimmune diseases. His research, conducted in the lab of Dr. Montserrat Anguera, focuses on understanding why scleroderma and related autoimmune diseases preferentially afflict females, with the hope that this understanding can help inform the development of new diagnostics and treatments for patients with these diseases.
