About me

Michelle L. Montes, AuD, is a doctor of audiology within the Division of Audiology in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Montes has been with Penn Medicine since 1989. Her clinical specialty area is working with deafened individuals who pursue cochlear implants. She has been involved in cochlear implant clinical trials bringing newer and expanded technologies to implant recipients. 

She has published on the topic of cochlear implants. In addition to her work with cochlear implants, Dr. Montes also conducts balance function testing and diagnostic hearing evaluations.

he was thorough, he "listened", was patient, spent more time with me than any doctor i have seen in my lifetime. he came in, shook my hand, sat back comfortably in his chair , made me comfortable. no rushing through the process, which surprised me, since i know the many patients he has and a time limit with each.i was going to cancel this appt but went anyway, so glad i did. very impressed..with him and the girls ministering the tests...

the testing was very effective and insightful. it may be a little counterintuitive, and i certainly welcome that for the sake of understanding
