i had worked with my doctor to find a medication and dosage that worked for me and the provider tried to step that down. i get that she didn't know me or the history but it felt invalidating to tell her what i needed based on my experience with this and with my doctor and to have her recommend a lower dosage. i hate getting cold sores and the dosage my doctor prescribed works to heal them pretty fast.
