About me

Dr. Kathryn “Katie” Kelley is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon at Penn Medicine- Lancaster General Health. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University, and then also completed her medical degree at Temple University at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, where she was inducted by her peers into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Kelley then finished a rigorous five-year General Surgery Residency program at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA. She is board-certified in General Surgery. She then went on to complete a Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Southern California (USC) / Hoag Hospital under the mentorship of the renowned Dr. Melvin Silverstein, a pioneer in oncoplastic breast surgery. Dr. Kelley holds membership with the following professional organizations: American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) and the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO). Her areas of expertise include oncoplastic breast-conserving procedures, as well as skin-sparing and nipple-sparing mastectomies, as well as providing management of benign and high-risk breast conditions. Dr. Kelley was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs and became the first physician in her family. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, including competing in Hyrox races, cooking, spending time with family, and rooting for all of the Philly sports teams.
