About me
- Manager, Nurse Practitioners, The Heart Group of Lancaster General Health
I have worked as a nurse practitioner at The Heart Group of Lancaster General Health since 1998. Over the years, it has been my pleasure to care for our cardiovascular patients in Lancaster County. Throughout my career, my specialty has been caring for patients with heart rhythm disorders. I earned a master's degree, as well as a post-masters certificate, in adult critical care from the University of Pennsylvania. With over 30 years of nursing experience, I hold certifications as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, CCRN, IBHRE cardiac device specialist- allied professional, and IBHRE cardiac electrophysiology specialist - allied professional. I serve on many committees for the Heart Rhythm Society and recently completing a term on the Board of Trustees.
I am a frequent speaker for various groups concerning EP educational topics - most commonly regarding atrial fibrillation standards of care, pacemaker and defibrillator topics, using advanced practice providers to optimize EP care, and care of the dysautonomia patient.
I am also the manager of our NP group at The Heart Group.
I care for adult patients with heart rhythm disorders, both in the hospital setting, as well as in an outpatient setting at The Heart Group. Special interests include care for our patients with AF, devices, POTS and dysautonomias.
