About me

Jean Schoener, M.A., CCC-SLP, is a highly experienced Speech-Language Pathologist at Penn Medicine Doylestown Health. Bringing 35 years of dedicated clinical experience to the department, Jean has been a vital part of the Penn Medicine Doylestown Health team for 27 years. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Temple University. Currently, Jean serves as a key practitioner within the hospital's specialized outpatient neurologically impaired rehabilitation team. She evaluates and treats adults facing a wide range of language, cognitive, speech, and swallowing disorders. While skilled across the full spectrum of speech pathology, Jean's primary areas of specialty include cognitive-communication and language disorders resulting from stroke, traumatic brain injury, concussion, and progressive neurological conditions such as dementia. Additionally, she possesses training in alternative communication, working closely with patients to implement and utilize speech-generating devices to restore functional communication. She is passionate about providing comprehensive, collaborative care that helps patients with neurological impairments regain independence and improve their quality of life.
