Emeka Anyanwu, MD, MSc, is a consultative cardiologist and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Anyanwu also serves as a Clinical Innovation Manager within the Penn Medicine Center for Healthcare Innovation and an Associate Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Informatics.

Dr. Anyanwu spends his clinical time caring for general cardiology patients in clinic as well as on inpatient units at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he performs and interprets echocardiograms that aid in the diagnosis and management of a diverse array of cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Anyanwu also has a strong interest in the potential for clinical informatics and digital technologies to improve the efficiency of patient care, clinical communication, and medical research and education. To this end, he combines his medical expertise with his software development experience to design, evaluate, and scale digital solutions to common pain points for patients and clinicians.
