About me
I specialize in managing headaches, migraines, atypical facial pain, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, trigeminal neuralgia, neuropathic pain, pudendal neuralgia, pelvic pain, and cancer-related pain. I also care for patients who have neck, hip, and low-back pain; pain in the peripheral joints, which are in the arms and legs; nerve pain; and other conditions. I collaborate with surgeons, obstetrician–gynecologists, oncologists/palliative care physicians, primary care physicians, physical therapists, dentists, and psychologists to provide personalized care.
To help relieve patients’ pain, I prescribe medications, recommend physical therapy and lifestyle changes, and perform interventional pain management procedures, such as Sphenopalatine Ganglion Blocks, Botox therapy, Lidocaine/Ketamine Infusions, Joint/Muscle injections, Stellate Ganglion Blocks, Epidurals, and Nerve Blocks.
Patients who are in pain sometimes develop anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder. I perform interventional procedures that can also help with those symptoms. I ask patients about their lifestyle, because certain factors, such as stress, lack of exercise, an unhealthy diet, and poor sleep, can exacerbate pain.
I conduct research and have presented at conferences across the country and internationally about rare pain conditions, sphenopalatine ganglion blocks, lidocaine infusions, and other anesthesiology and pain-related topics.
Although I use imaging results to help guide treatment, I rely more heavily on what a patient tells me. It is extremely satisfying when patients say they feel heard, their pain has been addressed, and they have experienced relief as a result of treatment. I enjoy making a difference in each person’s life.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, ballroom dancing, and spending quality time with my family.
