Celestine completed her undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA where she obtained a BSN; she earned her Masters of Science degree in Adult Health from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA.

Her entire nursing career was spent employed within the University of Pennsylvania Health System as a Registered Nurse on a general surgical floor, and as a CRNP. Celestine is currently an outpatient Gastrointestinal Surgery Nurse Practitioner. In her years of practice she has worked in a wide range of surgical specialties consisting of Vascular Surgery, Endocrine and Oncologic Surgery, Breast Surgery and GI/Bariatric surgery. In the ambulatory setting she works in collaboration with a number of physicians in a GI surgical practice. She also participates in independent management of bariatric and GI surgery patients performing pre-operative history and physicals, seeing post-operative and follow-up patients, and management of pre and post-operative symptoms.
