Overview

Group prenatal is an alternative to traditional prenatal care, holding prenatal appointments in a small group setting. It seeks to reimagine how we care for and prepare families for birth and parenthood to make pregnancy safer for all birthing families.

With group prenatal care, patients benefit from the same 1-on-1 interaction with their prenatal care provider offered with traditional prenatal care, PLUS:

  • Additional time with your prenatal care provider in a group setting
  • A sense of community with about 7-11 other pregnant people with similar due dates
  • The opportunity to learn from not only your clinician but other people in your group

Ask your prenatal care provider how you can join group prenatal care at Pennsylvania Hospital.
