Trenton Thunder bat dogs Rookie and Dash

Princeton Health Community Wellness and the Trenton Thunder will host a heart-healthy fun walk Sunday, April 23 at Trenton Thunder Ballpark in Trenton, N.J.

Gates will open at 9 am, and the walk is scheduled to kick off at 9:30 am. One or both of the Trenton Thunder’s bat dogs, Rookie and Dash, will lead the walkers on eight laps around the ballfield’s warning track, a distance of roughly two miles.

Princeton Health will supply water to keep everyone well hydrated, in addition to heart health information, door prizes, and kids’ craft projects. The walk is part of Keeping Hearts Healthy, Princeton Health’s yearlong campaign with the American Heart Association.

Community Wellness is sponsoring several events in April to promote National Move More Month, an annual effort to encourage all Americans to participate in regular physical activity.

Visit PrincetonHCS.org/calendar and search Thunder to find more information and details on how to register.

NOTE: As much as Rookie and Dash love to meet new friends, please do not bring your dogs. They will not be permitted to enter the ballpark.
