Jordan Mento, RN with her Good Catch award
Congratulations to Jordan Mento, RN, the most recent Good Catch Award winner.
Mento, a clinical emergency response nurse, discovered an error in medications available on a Code Cart. Her timely report allowed the error to be corrected before it affected patient safety. Staff members across Penn Medicine Princeton Health are encouraged to report near misses – situations or events that could have, but ultimately did not, cause patient harm.
Near misses entered into the Safety Event Reporting system are evaluated monthly by a multidisciplinary committee to identify ways to prevent similar events in the future and learn lessons to promote patient and staff safety.
The employee with the best “Good Catch!” of the month receives a $100 cash prize.
