Princeton House Behavioral Health’s yearlong 50th anniversary celebration at the main campus in Princeton came to a crowd-pleasing conclusion May 26 with an event featuring games, pizza, door prizes, and display of a time capsule that will be sealed for future generations of Princeton House staff. Celebration events began last summer, marking the July 1971 anniversary of Princeton House’s first patient admissions.
The gathering at Princeton House’s main campus included a photo booth where staff members could model a variety of fun disguises. A second photo backdrop was also available: a pair of angel’s wings sculpted by Jon Higgerson, director of Inpatient Admissions. In addition to feathers, the cedar wing span included a series of hands that were based on tracings of the hands of Higgerson’s colleagues at Princeton House. Similar anniversary celebrations were held at outpatient locations in Moorestown and Princeton on June 9. The remaining outpatient locations will celebrate during the summer.
