Before you arrive
- Do not wear make-up, cologne, perfume, or lotions on the day of your surgery.
- Remove all jewelry for your safety. Please do not wear any jewelry or body piercings to the Surgery Center.
- Remove dentures, contact lenses, and glasses before going to the operating room.
- You may be asked for a urine sample when you arrive at the pre-op area. If you need to use the restroom while in the waiting room, please let a staff member know.
- If you are diabetic: Ask your doctor what you should do to avoid low or high blood sugars on the day of surgery.
- Before you get to the center for your procedure, please make sure you have a responsible adult who can take you home afterward. Because of the anesthesia, you won’t be allowed to drive yourself. If you don’t have someone to take you home, your surgery will be canceled or rescheduled.
- Note: The driver of a bus, para-transit vehicle, cab, or ridesharing company (Uber, Lyft, etc.) is not considered a responsible adult.
- Your responsible adult should remain at the surgery center during your procedure or be within 30 minutes of the surgery center.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
- Medication list (do not bring medication bottles)
- X-rays, MRI or CT films/disk if requested by your surgeon
- Insurance cards
- Picture ID
- Co-pays and deductibles

Do not bring valuables such as large sums of cash, credit cards, and jewelry to the Surgery Center.
