Doylestown Health
About us
In 1923, the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown (VIA), along with local medical professionals, recognized a need for community health services in southeastern Pennsylvania. Their efforts laid the foundation for Penn Medicine Doylestown Health. More than a century later, we continue our legacy of providing compassionate, trusted health care backed by the expertise of a world-class academic medical center.
Our hospital
Doylestown Hospital, which began as an eight-bed emergency and maternity hospital, has grown into a 245-bed, not-for-profit teaching hospital offering advanced surgical procedures, innovative treatments, and comprehensive specialty care.
Outpatient health care in southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey
Our outpatient centers offer a range of services, including urgent and primary care, nutrition counseling, rehabilitation, specialty care, and more.
Our services and specialties
With more than 600 providers across 50 specialties, we’re proud to offer comprehensive care to communities across Bucks County and the surrounding region.
Caring for our community
We help keep community members of all ages healthy and strong with a range of health and wellness initiatives, educational programs, health screenings, support groups, and resources.
The Doylestown Health Foundation
Our core belief, “People heal best when cared for in their own community,” has shaped our compassionate, patient-centered approach for more than 100 years.
As the philanthropic arm of Penn Medicine Doylestown Health, Doylestown Health Foundation raises funds to advance the strategic priorities of Doylestown Hospital. Contributions to Doylestown Health Foundation stay local and support excellence in patient care through advanced technologies and treatment options, improving the quality of life for the patients and families we serve.
