Doylestown Health
For over 100 years, Penn Medicine Doylestown Health has connected the Bucks County, Pennsylvania community with exceptional care, advanced treatments, and trusted providers — all close to home.
Our history
Founded in 1923 by the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown, Doylestown Health began as the region’s first emergency hospital and has grown into a comprehensive health system. Through every stage of growth, we have upheld a simple philosophy: people heal best when cared for in their own community. Today, as part of Penn Medicine, Doylestown Health carries that legacy forward with the added strength, innovation, and expertise of a world-class academic medical center.
Doylestown Hospital
At the heart of our system is Doylestown Hospital, a 245-bed, not-for-profit community teaching hospital with more than 600 providers across 50 specialties. The hospital offers advanced surgical procedures, innovative therapies, and comprehensive specialty care.
