Penn’s Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgery Program is a collaborative team of nationally recognized surgeons, nurses and support staff treating the full spectrum of GI conditions that may require surgical treatment.
Penn GI Surgery is dedicated to providing expert diagnosis and surgical treatment, including minimally invasive techniques, for gastrointestinal (GI) conditions. These treatments include bariatric surgery procedures for weight loss, hernia repair surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction and advanced treatment for esophageal and swallowing disorders. We also perform surgical procedures on the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, gallbladder, liver, and pancreas, as well as complex biliary systems.
While developing individualized treatment plans for each of our patients, we collaborate with the talented specialists and medical staff across multiple disciplines. Our team approach ensures the best possible outcome for every patient.
