Over 1,300 people came together on October 15, 2016 to take cancer down for the count at the Philly Fights Cancer Round 2! The celebration helped raise $5.4 million to support translational research and clinical trials at Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center (ACC).
A special thank you to Madlyn and Leonard Abramson, Nancy Wolfson, Sharyn Berman, Dr. John H. Glick, the Philly Fights Cancer Committee, and all of our generous sponsors and guests who helped to bring research to life – advancing the ACC's ability to translate innovative scientific discoveries into humanistic, comprehensive, and compassionate care.

Not only was it an incredible evening that inspired a community to knock out cancer, but guests were also entertained by comedian and breast cancer survivor Tig Notaro and the smooth, sultry sounds of legendary Lionel Richie and Jennifer Hudson – as well as many stories of hope from patients whose lives have been changed because of their care at the Abramson Cancer Center.
